The Cultural Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Canada administers two scholarships on behalf of the Ministry of Education of ROC (Taiwan):

Ministry of Education Taiwan Scholarship Program - for those who are interested in pursuing their graduate or Ph. D. degree in a Taiwan university.

Ministry of Education Huayu Enrichment Scholarship Program - allows students to attend a Language Centre in Taiwan for three months, six months, nine months, one year and two-month summer classes.

From 2012, a copy of results or certificate for the "Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language" (TOCFL, formerly known as TOP) Level Learner or above is required for applicants of Taiwan Scholarship with the exception of applications to all-English programs.

Ottawa 2012 TOCFL test Announcement

The Cultural Division of the TECO in Canada will be holding the 2012 TOCFL test (Level Learner) at 2:00pm on Friday, March 9th, 2012 in TECO's office.

Applications can be submitted by mail, Email, or in person at the Cultural Division, TECO in Canada before February 10th, 2012. To sign up, please include the followings:

1. A completed Application Form
2. A copy of Photo ID
